MilkCrate Advances as Best Tech Startup Finalist in Philadelphia’s 2018 Timmy Awards

Tech in Motion announces top 10 local tech companies and opens public voting to determine winners

Philadelphia (September 12, 2018) – Tech in Motion Philadelphia has chosen MilkCrate, LLC as a finalist for this year’s Best Tech Startup category of the 3rd Annual Timmy Awards, which recognizes the top workplaces for tech professionals in the Philly area. MilkCrate joins an elite list of this year’s finalists, including Think Company, Thomas Jefferson University and AWeber, which the public can vote for here.

MilkCrate is a mission–driven tech company that empowers its clients to track and grow their impact. Designed around building engagement, MilkCrate provides customizable app development. Whether it’s a big organization engaging adults in socially impactful actions and civic engagement or a nonprofit wanting to increase program awareness and participation, think about how an app could bring your audience together. Organizations now have the ability to shape and engage their audience in a way that best reflects and drives their mission forward.

“It is an honor to be nominated year after year as MilkCrate has grown and changed into who we are today, empowering organizations to launch their own engagement app,” says Morgan Berman, CEO and Founder at MilkCrate. “From our early beginnings of our consumer facing app to now being the best way for mission driven organizations to launch their own engagement app we have enjoyed every step of the way. We are honored to be a part of the tech start up community”.

“It is an honor to celebrate the companies who are striving to better the lives and workplaces of their tech teams,” says Mandy Walker, Director of Marketing at Tech in Motion. “As the event series grows each year, we are excited to celebrate the diversity, innovation and growth in the community – which we recognize is represented by these finalists whether or not they walk home with an award.”

Philadelphia’s local community can get involved by voting online to help determine which company is crowned the best in tech. Winners will be chosen by a panel of expert judges and communal votes. The complete list of Philadelphia’s 2018 Timmy Awards finalists can be found here. The four “Best Tech” award categories include: Startup, Manager, Work Culture and Workplace for Diversity.

Philadelphia’s 2018 Timmy Awards will be held on October 9 at the Science History Institute at 315 Chestnut Street Philadelphia, PA from 6pm – 9pm.
