Curious where did the idea for the BlockCheck App come from?

It was New Years Day 2019 and MilkCrate’s CEO (and her neighborhood civic association president) Morgan Berman was walking across the city to meet up with friends for a celebratory breakfast. But she was finding herself in a less-than-celebratory mood seeing block after block of trash on the sidewalk. She kept wondering “How do we clean this up?” After doing some ‘digging’ she discovered that the City of Philadelphia was spending hundreds of thousands of dollars a year to try and coordinate volunteers a few days of the year to clean. Since MilkCrate has worked with so many programs over the years, she knew more was possible… and that’s when it all started!
