Curious where did the idea for the GleanTeam App come from?

Back in the winter of 2019-2020, Rolling Harvest, a food rescue organization based in Pennsylvania, started a partnership with us. MilkCrate is a mobile app builder for the nonprofit industry and we realized there was a need for an ‘out-of-the-box’ solution for gleaning programs that is fast and affordable. The Rolling Harvest team wanted to build a solution so their volunteers could quickly sign up to volunteer, receive reminders, and be a part of the community. 

After a successful year with 289 users and over a thousand volunteer hours logged in the app the MilkCrate team wanted to make sure this technology was accessible to other gleaning and food rescue organizations.
