MilkCrate & Concilio Partner on a Mobile App To Allow Deeper Engagement of Philadelphia's Latino Community
Launched today, the mobile app creates an immersive experience for Philadelphia’s Latino Community
PHILADELPHIA - September 19, 2018 - Today the Council of Spanish Speaking Organizations of Philadelphia, Inc. (Concilio), the oldest Latino organization in Philadelphia, and MilkCrate, an engagement app developer focused on impact, are pleased to announce the launch the Concilio mobile app, available for iOS and Android. This all-mobile experience is open to the public and provides a centralized hub of resources for anyone involved or looking to get involved with Concilio.
Concilio’s mobile app is the next iteration of their forward looking plan to enhance their cultural offerings. The app, which allows users to sign up for events, provide feedback on programing and engage with other Concilio supporters, will enable Concilio to enhance many of their existing programs such as Latino community family services while launching new programing. The easy to use mobile interface will house all of Concilio’s programing in one central location--providing a hub for engagement beyond events.
“This mobile app will help the Latino community come together while giving Concilio real-time access to key metrics and data about what their community needs and participates in the most, and I couldn’t be more proud to provide the tech solution that Concilion needed,” said Morgan Berman, CEO of MilkCrate. “Today’s launch not only creates a new phase of community engagement for Concilio but also provides a new use case for the MilkCrate platform in regards to non-profit engagement and impact tracking.
The partnership between Concilio and MilkCrate was engineered by Adonis Banegas the new Executive Director of Concilio with the support of Melanie Nieves. "The addition of the Concilio app puts Concilio on the forefront when it comes to servicing the community. Members now have the ability to engage within their homes through a series of activities and challenges centered around their favorite programs and services” says Melanie Nieves. “Traditionally, Concilio is considered a safe space where community members can feel welcomed while receiving the services they need; now, with the Concilio app, engagement is even more personal, and the experience no longer has to end once you exit our doors.
