WeVote Overview
The Committee of Seventy is a nonpartisan civic leadership organization, with a mission to advance “representative, ethical and effective government in Philadelphia and Pennsylvania through citizen engagement and public policy advocacy”, and MilkCrate has designed an app specifically to help them achieve that mission.

The Committee of Seventy and MilkCrate worked together to launch the WeVote app. The app makes it easier to be an engaged voter in Philadelphia and cultivates a culture of civic participation through the program’s corporate partners. This app provides the tools users need to stay connected to current politics and creates ease when trying to exercise your right to vote.
Challenge
Prior to building an app with MilkCrate, Committee of Seventy only had a website platform and sent out their reminders and upcoming events via email. Now with their app it is easy to let people know when to vote for an upcoming election, and send reminders of important date and times in the future.
Results

Events: Users can register and keep up to date with the current politics
View Resources via Actions: Users can locate the closest polling location, find their elected officials, and report concerns you find at polling locations
Activities: Users can earn points for reviewing the voter guide or registering to vote
