World Savvy Overview
World Savvy’s approach to learning is based on the belief that students learn best when they are engaged in relevant and important issues that impact their communities and the world. They believe that students’ lived experiences and perspectives are assets that can be leveraged in learning every day.
Transition
We developed the World Savvy Educators’ Network app to allow educators across the country a chance to engage with one another, access free resources for the classroom, share expertise with others, and elevate their teaching practices.
Challenge
Prior to having an app, World Savvy relied on emails, newsletters, phone calls, face-to-face meetings, and social media to engage with their educators. These methods proved to not always be effective as educators receive so many emails, calls, and information to process that it was often overwhelming. With the World Savvy app they can offer a more direct way to engage with educators, keep them updated on events, and provide a platform in which they can easily communicate and share resources.
How the app helps World Savvy Educators
Nationwide network: Educators can connect with one another to discuss their challenges and successes, learn new teaching approaches, share and access lesson plans, and so much more.
Event Finder: Locates workshops and other in person events to professionally develop as an educator.
Resources: Access a full suite of World Savvy resources, including Knowledge-to-Action and Sustainable Development (SDG) resources, Case Studies, Multilingual Learner Toolkit, and much more.

Reach Users with Push Notifications: Alert users to new information instantly, removing the hassle of writing out emails or newsletters that take up valuable time
See User Data Chart: Track user activity through charts, saving time as participation data is instantly collected
